Alliance for Global Water Adaptation (AGWA)
The Alliance for Global Water Adaptation (AGWA) is a diverse group of regional and global development banks, government agencies and ministries, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and the private sector focused on sustainably managing water resources in a sustainable way. AGWA promotes bottom-up approaches to climate adaptation and decision making for water resources management.
IWR and ICIWaRM are active members of AGWA by co-leading the development and application of new bottom-up methods, such as the Collaborative Risk-Informed Decision Analysis (CRIDA) methodology. In addition to method development, subject matter experts from IWR and ICIWaRM contribute to AGWA U trainings offered through Oregon State University’s Natural Resources Leadership Academy and IHE Delft Institute for Water Education. IWR and ICIWaRM are also members of the AGWA steering committee.
