SEVENTH CRIDA SEMINAR FOCUSES ON Assessing Climate-Risks for Semi-Arid Regions

The seventh UNESCO-AGWA-ICIWaRM webinar in a series on Adaptation in an age of uncertainty: tools for climate-resilient water management approaches took place on 17 June 2021. It focused on case studies from India and Iran that highlighted the challenges that climate change poses for semi-arid regions.

Shuchi Vora of the Global Resilience Partnership spoke on “Collective visioning for a groundwater future through participatory system modeling” and Mojtaba Shafiei of the East Water and Environmental Research Institute (EWERI) presented on “Developing a basin sustainability assessment framework: A case study from a semi-arid region in Iran”.

Pooja Prasad of the IHE Delft Institute for Water Education, the Netherlands and Kamran Davary of the Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Iran also participated in the discussion.
